Walnut Tree Field Sturminster Marshall. Early in 2015 we were approached by Lytchett Matravers Beaver Group who offered to build some bat boxes for us. We were keen to find a site near to where the Beavers meet and discovered Walnut Tree Field in Sturminster Marshall. This small local nature reserve was a perfect location as we had already recorded many different species of bats using the riverbank of the Stour and the nearby churchyard. |
Lytchett Matravers Beaver Group ready for action! It is a great joint project as the Beaver Group already knew more about bats than any adult group we have taken on a bat walk. |
